Spring rain gives an opportunity to see the farm in a new way as we explore the green emerging everywhere!
Welcome spring!
As the weather changes, new life can be spotted under the remains of winter.
Signs of spring!
In this video, we are planting garlic, and salt curing bacon. The chickens are establishing their pecking order as we move them to their fresh new spot on the field.
Season change on the farm
The farm is now awaking to frosty mornings. Join us for a crisp morning contrasted with a warm breakfast of sourdough pumpkin scones and eggs.
Fall on the farm
Autumn on the farm
Fall begins on this small peaceful farm
Two curious little pigs timidly start their new life on Holy Sanctuary acres. A mama hen decides it’s time to start sitting on some eggs in hope of baby chicks. As the autumn weather begins to cool , the farm continues to change and grow.
A rainy walk through the forest on the farm
As summer ends, the rains come and water the land. Sit back and enjoy a visit to the farm as we take a walk through the woods with the peaceful sounds and sights of a rainy day.
Beginnings
This inaugural newsletter of Holy Sanctuary Acres is about beginnings. The beginnings of a little farm in its infancy at the very early stages of what we envision. For a while now, we have fostered the desire to grow food, raise animals, and start a business and so we are doing it. However, that says very little about the value of good healthy food for our family, other families and our community. In the last few years, we have come to value not only clean food but more importantly the processes and systems leveraged to produce food in a sustainable way. |
